Aracelis Girmay. In their own Aracelis Girmay (born December 10, ) [1] is an American poet. She is the author of three poetry collections, including Kingdom Animalia (), a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award for poetry. She is also an assistant professor of poetry at Hampshire College.

Born and raised in Santa Aracelis Girmay was born December 10, and is the author of several books of poetry including, Teeth and Kingdom Animalia, for which she was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award respectively.
